What's the dill with Chris & John?
"We realized that what we were doing was really rescuing people, coming to their aid," says John "and that's the next
level we wanted to take the series to." Chris gets right to the point about their rescue work, "people needed our help desperately...
whether or not we helped or made things worse is really irrelevant, we gave it our all and that's what really counts, right?"
The newly rebranded Chris & John to the Rescue! premiered it's 7 episodes in 2006-7 on OUTtv and introduced audiences
to recurring characters and series staples Scum, the fag hags and Brian Doyle.
With two successful series and a thriving franchise on their hands, Chris & John began brainstorming concepts
for a possible second season of Rescue! -- or a third series altogether. "It was so hectic because we didn't want
to confuse the audience," says Chris of decision on a second season, "we had two options, push forward with another
season of Rescue!, which the fans seemed to really love, or risk taking it in an all new direction - again." A crafty compromise
was in store, says John, "Frankly, we really wanted to travel to exciting and fun locations, and we'd been receiving a lot of
calls for help from Provincetown." And so it was decided, Chris & John would be taking their unique sensibilities to the
Cape Cod colonial town of Provincetown for Chris & John to the Rescue!: Provincetown.
Best friends, culture-aficionados, experts in the field of "everything" and now successful TV producers, Chris & John
hope to continue 'saving the world... one gay at a time' and have recently resurrected The Chris & John Show as a vlog series.
"We love vlogs" Chris & John say in unison. What does the future hold for Chris & John? "Who knows, maybe we'll give Brian Doyle
his own spin off?" Chris says jokingly.
